FAQs

  • It begins with an inquiry form where we discuss your vision, reference photos, and size. Once the details are set and the payment is made, I’ll begin your custom piece. Check out the process here.

  • High-resolution photos taken in natural light work best. The more detail I can see in the eyes and features, the more life-like your portrait will be. Avoid photos with heavy filters, extreme shadows, or blurry details.gh our contact form or schedule a call—we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.

  • Timelines vary depending on my current waitlist and the complexity of the piece, but generally, pastel portraits are completed within 2-3 weeks.

  • Pricing depends on the dimensions and the number of subjects (people or pets). I will share the price list once you submit the initial inquiry form.

  • A round of minor revisions can be done initially to ensure you are happy with the likeness. However there will be additional charges for any major changes or change requests once the painting is nearing completion.

  • Never touch the surface of a pastel painting. Pastels are a "live" powder and will smudge instantly if touched. Your portrait will arrive protected with a complimentary frame. They must always remain framed with a mat or "spacer" to ensure the artwork does not touch the glass directly. This protects the pigment and prevents smudging.
